Lake Acworth

Lake Acworth is a 90-acre man-made lake located southwest of the city of Acworth, Georgia. It is located in the extreme northwestern part of Cobb County. The lake impounds Proctor Creek (not the same as Proctor Creek in nearby Atlanta), and outflows into Lake Allatoona. The low dam is at the point where State Route 92 (Lake Acworth Drive) crosses. The city of Acworth operates Acworth Beach, a public beach and park along the northern shore of the lake.

Kennesaw, Georgia

Kennesaw is a city in Cobb County, Georgia, United States, located in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area. It had a population of 29,783 according to the 2010 census. Founded in 1887, Kennesaw has a past surrounded with railroad history. During the Civil War, Kennesaw was the staging ground for the Great Locomotive Chase on April 12, 1862. In 2007, the city was selected by Family Circle magazine as one of the nation's "10 best towns for families".

The Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History is a museum in Kennesaw, Georgia, that contains a collection of artifacts and relics from the American Civil War, as well as from railroads of the state of Georgia and surrounding regions. The Sentinel (KSU)

The Sentinel is the official student newspaper of the Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia. As of the Spring semester of 2007, the Sentinel has a weekly circulation of 5,000, distributed to over 30 locations on the Kennesaw State campus. The first issue of The Sentinel was published on October, 1966; the first editor was Robert McDearmid], shortly after the charter quarter of Kennesaw State.
