Plainfield Juvenile Correctional Facility

The Plainfield Re-Entry Facility has been moved to the old Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis. The Indiana Boys School has been slated to open as a short term offender facility. The Indiana Boys School (IBS) was opened in 1867 as a correctional institution for adolescent boys. It was located on U.S. Route 40 just outside of Plainfield, Indiana. For 138 years, it was the primary correctional facility for juvenile males in Indiana.
