E.J. Block Athletic Field is a stadium in East Chicago, Indiana. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field for Calumet College of St. Joseph's Crimson Wave Baseball team which play in the CCAC. Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal
The Indiana Harbor and Ship Canal is an artificial waterway on the southwest shore of Lake Michigan, in East Chicago, Indiana which connects the Grand Calumet River to Lake Michigan. It consists of two branch canals, the 1.25 mile (2 km) Lake George Branch and the 2 mile (3 km) long Grand Calumet River Branch which join to form the main Indiana Harbor Canal.

Calumet College of St. Joseph is a private college affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church through the Missionaries of the Precious Blood. Its main campus is in Whiting, Indiana, with additional campuses located in Chicago, Illinois, and Merrillville, Indiana. The college was founded in 1951 as an extension of Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Indiana and currently enrolls 1,262 students.
