Crown Point Bridge, Indiana
Originally built over the Little Flatrock River, two miles south of Milroy, Rush County, Indiana. (Section 24, Township 12 North, and Range 9 East) The Milroy or Shelbourne Covered Bridge was built by Archibald M. Kennedy & Sons in 1878. Highway improvements in 1933, displaced the bridge and it was moved to Crown Point, Indiana. John Wheeler lead the preservation effort, having the structure dismantled, moved, and erected in the Lake County Fairgrounds over a gully.

Century Mall
Century Mall was an indoor shopping mall located on the southeast corner of Broadway and US 30 in Merrillville, Indiana. The mall opened in 1979 with anchor stores Goldblatt's and Montgomery Ward. Competitive and economic factors sent the mall into steady decline and national retail chains left throughout the 1990s until the mall was ultimately sold for redevelopment in 2001 then closed and largely demolished in 2002.

Star Plaza Theatre
The Star Plaza Theatre is a live music venue in Merrillville, Indiana. The theatre is a 3,400-seat intimate theatre with two seating levels in a semicircle around the stage. The Main Floor Level seats 2,000 people, and the Mezzanine Level, which overhangs the main level about midway, seats 1,400. The furthest seat in the auditorium is 120 feet from the stage. The Star Plaza Theatre was opened in December of 1979 under the name Holiday Star Theatre. Charlie Blum is its President and CEO.
