Beaverdale is a neighborhood on the northwest side of Des Moines, Iowa, United States. Although it has never been incorporated, it has retained a distinct and separate identity from the rest of the capital city. Known for its distinctive brick neo-Tudor homes, popularly nicknamed 'Beaverdale Bricks', the community was a popular suburban area during the first half of the 20th century.

Southeastern Community College (Iowa)

Southeastern Community College is a community college with three campuses located in Burlington, Ft. Madison, and Keokuk, Iowa. Burlington serves as the main campus. Southeastern Community College was formed in 1967 with the merging of two local colleges: Burlington Junior College, founded in 1920, and Keokuk Community College, founded in 1953. Southeastern is a member of Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

KGRS

KGRS is a commercial radio station that serves the Burlington, Iowa area. The station broadcasts an Adult Contemporary format. KGRS is licensed to Titan Broadcasting, LLC which is owned by John C. "LJ" Pritchard. Titan Broadcasting LLC agreed to purchase the station from GAP West (owned by Skip Weller) in late 2007. The station was owned by Clear Channel prior to GAP West. Titan also owns KBKB-FM in nearby Fort Madison, Iowa.
