Fort Madison, Iowa

Fort Madison, Iowa (pop. 11,051) is located along the Mississippi River in the southeast corner of Iowa. Fort Madison is situated between small bluffs and one of the widest portions of the river. It is one of two county seats of Lee County (the other is Keokuk). It is the only county in Iowa with two seats of government.

KBKB (AM)

KBKB is a radio station serving the communities of Fort Madison, Burlington, and Keokuk, Iowa. The station primarily broadcasts a classic country format. KBKB is owned by Pritchard Broadcasting Corporation and licensed to GAP Broadcasting Burlington License, LLC. It was first licensed on January 10, 1949. Pritchard Broadcasting Corporation (owned by John T. Pritchard) agreed to purchase the station from GAP West (owned by Skip Weller) in late 2007.

Fort Madison (Amtrak station)

The Fort Madison Amtrak station is a train station in Fort Madison, Iowa, United States served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. On December 2009 the city received $1.1 million to restore the former Santa Fe station and move the Amtrak stop there, near to the city center. Of the six Iowa stations served by Amtrak, Fort Madison was the fifth busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 21 passengers daily.
