Topeka (Amtrak station)

The Topeka Amtrak station is a train station in Topeka, Kansas, United States served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. The Topeka Amtrak Station was built in 1950 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway as a replacement for the former Topeka Harvey House, which itself was opened in 1878 as part of the original Santa Fe depot and remained open until 1940. The existing station was remodeled by the BNSF Railway in 2006.

KTOP (AM)

KTOP is a radio station serving the Topeka, Kansas vicinity. The station currently broadcasts a sports talk format, but prior to October 4, 2007 had broadcast an adult standards/oldies format. KTOP is owned by Cumulus Media and licensed to Cumulus Licensing, LLC. They retain local broadcast rights to Topeka's minor league hockey team. The transmitter and antenna are located in northern Topeka on NW Buchanan Street near the Kansas River.

Kansas Senate

The Kansas Senate is the upper house of the Kansas Legislature, the state legislature of the U.S. State of Kansas. It is composed of 40 Senators representing an equal amount of districts, each with a population of at least 60,000 inhabitants. Members of the Senate are elected to a four-year term. There is no limit to the number of terms that a Senator may serve. The Kansas Senate meets at the Kansas State Capitol in Topeka.
