Bedford, Kentucky

Bedford is a city in Trimble County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 677 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Trimble County. It is located at the junction of U.S. Routes 42 and 421. It is named for Bedford, Virginia, former home of the first settler, Richard Bell, who built a house near what he called Bedford Spring in 1805. The town was founded in 1816 but not incorporated until 1850.

Trimble County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 8,809. Its county seat is Bedford. The county is named for Robert Trimble. Trimble is a prohibition or dry county. It is part of the Louisville/Jefferson County, KY–IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Trimble County is home to the Trimble County High School (TCHS), Trimble County Middle School (TCMS), Bedford Elementary School, and Milton Elementary School.

Bethlehem, Indiana

Bethlehem is an unincorporated community in Bethlehem Township, Clark County, Indiana, United States, twenty-five miles up the Ohio River from Louisville, Kentucky. It was platted in 1812 and according to WPA records was presumably named for Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Its first office was established on March 6, 1816. The community's post office is popular around Christmas with those wanting to have a Bethlehem postmark on Christmas letters and cards.

Marble Hill Nuclear Power Station is an unfinished nuclear power plant in Saluda Township, Jefferson County, near Hanover, Indiana, USA. In 1984, the Public Service Company of Indiana announced it was abandoning the half-finished nuclear power plant, on which $2.5 billion had already been spent.
