WDGG is one of several country music formatted radio stations in the Huntington, West Virginia, Ashland, Kentucky, and Ironton, Ohio, market area. Although the Dawg's studios are located in Huntington, its city of license is Ashland following the original Federal Communications Commission (FCC) allocation of its predecessor WCMI-FM. The Dawg is the flagship station of the Marshall University sports radio network.

Southern Airways Flight 932

Southern Airways Flight 932 was a chartered Southern Airways Douglas DC-9 domestic United States commercial jet flight from Stallings Field (ISO) in Kinston, North Carolina, to Huntington Tri-State Airport/Milton J. Ferguson Field (HTS) in Ceredo, West Virginia. At 7:36 pm on November 14, 1970, the aircraft crashed into a hill just short of the Tri-State Airport, killing all 75 people on board.

The city's postal ZIP code serves a greater population of 10,522, which is a better reflection of the community's size. Catlettsburg is a part of the Huntington-Ashland, WV-KY-OH, Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). As of the 2010 census, the MSA had a population of 287,702.

Grayson, Kentucky

Grayson is a city in Carter County, Kentucky, United States, along the Little Sandy River. The population was 3,877 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Carter County.
