Trigg County, Kentucky

Trigg County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 12,597. Its county seat is Cadiz. It was formed in 1820 and named for Stephen Trigg, a frontier officer in the American Revolutionary War who died in the Battle of Blue Licks. Lake Barkley State Resort Park

Lake Barkley State Resort Park is a park located on the eastern shore of Lake Barkley just west of Cadiz, Kentucky in Trigg County. The park encompasses 3,600 acres, and is one of three Kentucky parks located on Land Between the Lakes, a 170,000-acre (690 km²) isthmus between Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley.

Golden Pond, Kentucky

Golden Pond is a ghost town in western Trigg County, Kentucky, United States. The town is located in the Land Between the Lakes National Recreation Area 11 miles west-southwest of Cadiz. Golden Pond was established in the 19th century and became known for its moonshining activity during Prohibition. The settlement was abandoned in 1969 when the land in the recreation area was evacuated.
