Green River Lake

Green River Lake is a 8,210-acre reservoir in Adair, Taylor, and Casey counties in Kentucky lying in the section of Kentucky known as the Highland Rim. The lake was formed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 1969 by impounding the Green River. The dam is an 11 mile drive equidistant from the cities of Campbellsville and Columbia. The lake is located 90 miles southeast of Louisville, KY.

Taylor County, Kentucky

Taylor County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2010, the population was 24,512. Its county seat is Campbellsville. The county is named for President Zachary Taylor, who served from 1849 to 1850. Taylor is a moist county in that selected restaurants can serve alcoholic beverages. The Campbellsville Micropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Taylor County. It is represented in the Kentucky House of Representatives by the Republican John "Bam" Carney, an educator.
