Fishville, Louisiana

Fishville is a tiny community in Central Louisiana. In the late 60's and early 70's, Fishville was a popular Summer spot for the surrounding area, including Alexandria, Louisiana, where hundreds of people would come out to the country to enjoy the cold creeks, roller skating, or just relaxing at one of many camp houses located along the numerous lakes, creeks, and streams, throughout the surrounding woods of the Kisatchie National Forest. Fishville was a Southern archetypical community.

Ball, Louisiana

Ball, incorporated in May 1972, is a town in Rapides Parish just north of Pineville, Louisiana, United States. It is part of the Alexandria, Louisiana Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 4,000 at the 2010 census, an increase of 8.7 percent over the 2000 tabulation of 3,681.

Libuse, Louisiana

Libuse is a populated place in Rapides Parish, Louisiana in the United States and part of the Alexandria, Louisiana metropolitan area. It was founded in 1914 by Czech immigrants, and named after Libuše. As of 2011, fundraising has commenced for a future Louisiana Czech Museum to be built in Libuse. The tribal office of the Talimali Band of Apalachee is located in Libuse. Libuse was the home of the late State Representative Carl Gunter, Jr.

Camp Beauregard

For the American Civil War site, see Camp Beauregard Memorial in Water Valley. Camp Beauregard is a U.S. Army installation located northeast of Pineville, Louisiana, primarily in Rapides Parish, but also extending northward into Grant Parish. It is currently operated by the Louisiana National Guard as one of their main training areas. The current base covers 12,500 acres and is home to many different units and elements of the Louisiana Army National Guard.
