Doyline, Louisiana

Doyline is a village in southwestern Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 841 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area. Under an economic realignment plan, the Webster Parish School Board closed Union Elementary School in Doyline in 2011. Doyline High School absorbed the elementary pupils. The television series True Blood is filmed in Doyline.

Sibley, Louisiana

Sibley is a town in south Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 1,218 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area. The former Sibley High School, now known as Lakeside Junior and Senior High School, is located south of town off Louisiana Highway 7. The Sibley Town Hall was relocated to a portion of the former Sibley High School campus.

Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant

The Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant is an inactive 14,974-acre government-owned, contractor-operated facility twelve miles east of Shreveport, Louisiana that was established in 1942. The plant was active during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Sperry Rand was the contractor from 1961 to 1975, and the plant is currently operated by Thiokol.

Dubberly is a village in Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 290 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area. Former Governor Robert F. Kennon was born there in 1902 but reared in Minden. James Burton, a rock and roll/Country music guitarist, was born in Dubberly in 1939. Robert L. Frye, the Republican nominee for state education superintendent in 1972, was a former principal at Dubberly High School.
