Mississippi River – Gulf Outlet Canal

The Mississippi River – Gulf Outlet Canal (abbreviated as MRGO or MR-GO) is a 76 mi channel constructed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers at the direction of Congress in the mid-20th century that provided a shorter route between the Gulf of Mexico and New Orleans' inner harbor Industrial Canal via the Intracoastal Waterway.

KMEZ

KMEZ, is a radio station serving the New Orleans area. The Cumulus Media station is licensed to Port Sulphur, Louisiana and broadcasts at 106.7 MHz with an ERP of 100,000 watts. At 3pm on 5/21/08, the station switched to a simulcast of KKND, which lasted until July 1, 2008, when it chose a Rhythmic contemporary format to air at the 102.9 frequency.
