Dingley Island

Dingley Island is a small island in Casco Bay, not far from Brunswick, off the coast of Maine in the United States. In the 1750s, the island was known as Bateman’s Island, and later Indian Island. However, in 1788, Captain Levi Dingley purchased the south 50 acres and in 1792 built a house there; it has been known as Dingley Island ever since. The island was until recently connected to adjacent Great Island by a solid, 200 ft . causeway that had been constructed around 1954.

Phippsburg is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States, on the west side of the mouth of the Kennebec River. The population was 2,216 at the 2010 census. It is within the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine, metropolitan statistical area.

Harbor Island, Phippsburg, Maine

Harbor Island is a small, heavily wooded island at the mouth of the New Meadows River across from the shores of Sebasco in Phippsburg, Sagadahoc County, Maine. There are two beaches on the island, one on the north end just across from Sebasco Harbor Resort, the other a small sandy cove on the north end. There are a few private homes on the island and a large portion of it is owned by Sebasco Harbor Resort. The island's first known settler was Benjamin Darling.

Sebasco Harbor Resort

Sebasco Harbor Resort is a privately held destination resort located in mid-coast Maine, 48 miles north of Portland. It is situated at the tip of Popham Peninsula 12 miles due south of Bath, Maine on over 550 acres and tidal estuaries. Founded in 1930 by bakery magnate Nate Cushman, it was frequented by Eleanor Roosevelt. Sebasco Harbor Resort contains over 133 guest rooms.
