Fish River (Maine)

The Fish River is a 69.9-mile-long river in northern Maine in the United States. It is a tributary of the St. John River, which flows to the Bay of Fundy (an arm of the Atlantic Ocean) in New Brunswick, Canada. From its start at the confluence of Fox Brook and Carr Pond Stream, in Maine Township 13, Range 8, WELS, the river runs north to Fish River Lake, then east to Portage Lake. It then runs northwards through St.  Froid Lake and Eagle Lake to the Saint John River at Fort Kent.

The Red River is a 15.7-mile-long river in Maine. From the outflow of Fish Pond in Maine Township 15, Range 9, WELS, the river runs about 7 miles southeast to Red River Falls in T.14 R.8 WELS, falling about 450 feet . It runs then about 6 miles northeast to St.  Froid Lake in Winterville Plantation falling about 90 feet . The lake is drained by the Fish River, a tributary of the Saint John River.
