Patten Free Library

The Patten Free Library is a public library in Bath, Maine. It also serves the communities of Arrowsic, Georgetown, West Bath, and Woolwich. It was founded in 1847 and the modern library building was built in 1889. New wings were built in 1961 and 1998.

Bath Iron Works (BIW) is a major American shipyard located on the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine, United States. Since its founding in 1884 (as Bath Iron Works, Limited), BIW has built private, commercial and military vessels, most of which have been ordered by the United States Navy. The shipyard has built and sometimes designed battleships, frigates, cruisers and destroyers, including the Arleigh Burke class, which are currently among the world's most advanced surface warships.

Morse High School (Maine)

Morse High School in Bath, Maine, draws on the communities of Bath, West Bath, Phippsburg, Woolwich, Georgetown, and Arrowsic, Maine. The original school building, a gift to the city from Charles W. Morse, burned down March 24, 1928 and was later rebuilt in 1929. A large addition was made in 1969, and an expanded vocational center was added in 1996.
