Amesbury is a city in Essex County, Massachusetts, located on the left bank of the Merrimack River near its mouth, upstream from Salisbury and across the river from Newburyport and West Newbury. The population was 16,283 at the 2010 census. A former farming and mill town, Amesbury is today largely residential. It is one of the two northernmost towns in Massachusetts (the other being neighboring Salisbury).

Amesbury High School
Amesbury High School is a coeducational preparatory school in the city of Amesbury, Massachusetts, drawing students from Amesbury, South Hampton, New Hampshire, and other parts of the Merrimack River Valley region. It is in the Amesbury Public Schools district, and serves grades 9 through 12. The school mascot is the Indian, the colors are red and white. The yearbook is called the Powwow. There are around 830 students, and almost 60 members of faculty and other staff.

Bartlett Museum, Inc
The Bartlett Museum is a nonprofit museum located at 270 Main Street, Amesbury, Massachusetts. The museum was formed in 1968 as part of the celebrations for the 300th anniversary of the founding of the Town of Amesbury. The building was originally the Bartlett School from 1870 until it was closed in 1968. As of 2009 the museum's exhibits included: Local history - Amesbury's former carriage industry, old maps, and mementos of local history.
