Flint Truck Assembly

Flint Truck Assembly is an automobile factory operated by General Motors in Flint, Michigan. It is the city's main plant. The Flint factory produces full-size GM pickup trucks for consumers as well as the commercial Heavy Duty versions. The factory has two lines, with #1 producing the Heavy Duty trucks and #2 producing medium-duty consumer versions. The plant, on Van Slyke Road, was built shortly after the end of World War II and was split between Fisher Body and Chevrolet.

Grand Blanc, Michigan

Grand Blanc is a city in Genesee County in the U.S. state of Michigan and a suburb of Flint. The population was 8,276 as of the 2010 US Census. The city is situated within Grand Blanc Charter Township, but is politically independent. A ballot question in the May 2, 2006 Genesee County general election ended governmental research into a plan to consolidate the city and township governments; 68.62% of city voters opposed consolidation efforts whereas 31.38% were in favor.
