Carsonville, Michigan

Carsonville is a village in Sanilac County of the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 527 at the 2010 census. The village is situated at {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:43|25|37|N|82|40|17|W| | |name= }} on the boundary between Bridgehampton Township and Washington Township, with about half the village in each. The village began with a store built in 1853 operated by Silas C. Hall, who also became the first postmaster in 1857. The place was initially called Hall's Corners.

Sanilac County is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the population was 44,547 with a projection of 42,064 in 2009. The county seat is Sandusky. { The county, which is part of the Thumb region, was created on September 10, 1822, and was fully organized on December 31, 1849.

WMIC

WMIC is a news/talk and country radio station licensed to Sandusky, Michigan. WMIC signed on the air at 1560 kHz on June 27, 1968, and changed its frequency to the current 660 in 1987, serving Sandusky, the Thumb and the Blue Water area of Michigan. Part of WMIC 660's success is mostly due to the large area the station covers. WMIC covers the complete Thumb area of Michigan, unlike any other area station.
