Miners Falls is a waterfall located on Miners River in the western portion of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Alger County, Michigan. The falls drops about 40 feet over a sandstone outcrop with a 10-foot crest. The falls can be accessed by trail, with stairs leading to a lookout.

Miners River
The Miners River is a river on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. It is the largest river in the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Miners River has its origin outside of the National Lakeshore, north of Indian Town in the Hiawatha National Forest, and flows 12.4 miles into Lake Superior. Miners Lake and Miners Falls are found along the river. The river empties into Lake Superior at the western end of Miners Beach. It is popular for tourism and fishing. \t\t \t\t\tMiners River 4.

Munising Falls
Munising Falls is a waterfall located in Munising in the western-most portion of the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore in Alger County. The falls drops about 50 feet over a sandstone cliff. With the exception of the spring thaw, the amount of water falling is relatively small. There are trails leading to multiple viewpoints around the falls. In the winter, the falls freeze forming an ice column.
