Scottville is a city located in the north west of the U.S. state of Michigan in rural Mason County. The population was 1,214 at the 2010 census. On July 23, 2007 Governor Jennifer Granholm announced Scottville as the community chosen by the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to take part in the Cool Cities Michigan Main Street program.
