The school was established in 1876 in the City of Utica, but is now located on border of Shelby Township and Utica. Utica High School is a part of Utica Community Schools and serves students in grades 10–12. Once the locale of the Utica Center for Mathematics, Science, and Technology, Utica's current student enrollment is 1,581, and is growing every year.

Lakeside Mall is a Taubman-built super-regional full-line shopping mall located in the northeastern Metro Detroit suburb of Sterling Heights, Michigan. The mall is located on M-59 (Hall Road) between Hayes and Schoenherr Roads. Lakeside Mall features five anchor stores: J.C. Packard Proving Grounds
The Packard Proving Grounds (the remains of which are now called the Packard Proving Grounds Gateway Complex), was an automotive testing facility established near Utica, Michigan in 1927 by the Packard Motor Car Company of Detroit. It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
