Cass Lake is a city in Cass County, Minnesota, United States, located within the boundaries of the Leech Lake Indian Reservation. It is surrounded by Pike Bay Township. Cass Lake had a population of 770 in the 2010 census. It is notable as the headquarters location of Minnesota Chippewa Tribe and Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe, as well as the Chippewa National Forest. Cass Lake is part of the Brainerd Micropolitan Statistical Area. It reached its peak of population of over 2100 in 1920.

Leech Lake Tribal College
Leech Lake Tribal College (LLTC) is a small, associate degree-granting, Anishinaabe college in Cass Lake, Minnesota, chartered by the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe (LLBO) and accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Although most students enrolled at LLTC come from the Leech Lake Reservation and the surrounding reservations in northern Minnesota; approximately eight percent of students are non-Native. LLTC experienced an eight percent increase in student enrollment during AY 2009-10.

Lake Windigo
Lake Windigo is a small lake on Star Island in northern Minnesota, United States. The lake covers a total of 199 acres (80 hectare) and reaches a maximum depth of 15 feet (4.6 m). The littoral zone is 129 acres (52 hectare). Due to its shallow depth and subsequent abundant plant and algae growth, water clarity extends 6 feet (1.8 m). The lake hosts small populations of northern pike and walleye and large communities of panfish.

Cass Lake is a glacially-formed lake in north central Minnesota in the United States. It is approximately 10 mi long and 7 mi wide, located in Cass and Beltrami counties, within the Chippewa National Forest and the Leech Lake Indian Reservation, adjacent to its namesake city of Cass Lake. In the Ojibwe language, it is called Gaa-miskwaawaakokaag (where there are many red cedar), and was known to early explorers and traders in French as Lac du Cedre Rouge, and English as Red Cedar Lake.
