Lake Ore-be-gone

Lake Ore-be-gone is a 140-acre artificial lake, formed by the flooding of three open-pit iron ore mines, within the city limits of Gilbert, Minnesota, USA. Since the flooding of the mining pits, the area around the lake has been subject to land reclamation, and there now exist beaches and docks. As of June 2011, the beaches previously closed due to low water have been excavated and a new swimming area and boat landing are in the works.

Iron Range Historical Society

The Iron Range Historical Society is an historical society, museum and research library located in Gilbert, Minnesota. A non-profit organization, the Iron Range Historical Society exists on the donations and efforts of volunteers. The Iron Range Historical Society was incorporated in 1973. Prior to coming to Gilbert, the Iron Range Historical Society was located in Biwabik and Aurora, Minnesota.

Gilbert is a city in Saint Louis County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 1,799 at the 2010 census. State Highway 37 (MN 37) and State Highway 135 (MN 135) are two of the main routes in Gilbert. Gilbert is part of the Quad Cities of Virginia, Eveleth, and Mountain Iron.

United States Hockey Hall of Fame

The United States Hockey Hall of Fame was established in 1973 with the goal of preserving the rich history of ice hockey in the United States while recognizing the extraordinary contributions of select players, coaches, administrators, officials and teams. It is located in Eveleth, an iron mining suburb of Virginia, a county seat in northeastern Minnesota.

KRBT

KRBT is a radio station broadcasting a sports format. Licensed to Eveleth, Minnesota, USA, the station serves the Iron Range area. The station is currently owned by Red Rock Radio, and features programing from the Minneapolis-based FAN Radio Network. Formally a Talk station, the format change was made following the sale to Red Rock Radio. Red Rock's KQDS (AM) also carries the FAN Network.
