It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 22 from a transmitter in northeastern unincorporated Forrest County. The station can also be seen on Comcast channel 10 and in high definition on digital channel 433. Owned by Media General, WHLT has studios on U.S. 49 in Hattiesburg.

Petal, Mississippi

Petal is a city in Forrest County, Mississippi, along the Leaf River. It is part of the Hattiesburg, Mississippi Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population is approximately 10,454 per the US Census estimates performed in April, 2010. The International Checker Hall of Fame was located in Petal until September 29, 2007 when 20,000 sq. ft. of the 35,000 sq. ft. building caught fire. On June 23, 2004, Sports Illustrated entitled Petal as "Sports Illustrated Sportstown for Mississippi".

WJMG (92.1 FM, "G 92.1") is a radio station licensed to serve the community of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and serving the Laurel-Hattiesburg area. The station airs an urban contemporary format. It, along with sister station WORV, are owned by Vernon C. Floyd of Hattiesburg. A licensed broadcast engineer, he did much of the work himself in the construction of the two stations' facility located in North Hattiesburg.
