Enid Lake
Enid Lake is a lake that is located mostly in Yalobusha County in the U.S. state of Mississippi. Parts of it extend into Panola and Lafayette counties. George P. Cossar State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Mississippi. It is located east of Oakland off Mississippi Highway 32. It sits on the shores of Enid Lake. The park is named for George Payne Cossar, Sr. , a prominent Mississippi attorney in the 20th century. Activities include hiking, camping, golfing, swimming, hunting, and fishing—the world record crappie was caught in Enid Lake. Most of the land around the lake and in nearby Holly Springs National Forest is open for hunting.
