Berryman is an unincorporated community on the border between Crawford and Washington Counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. Located along Route 8, it lies in the Mark Twain National Forest about sixteen miles west of Potosi. Berryman is the only town in Washington County that is not in the St Louis Metropolitan Area.

Courtois, Missouri

Courtois is an unincorporated community in southwestern Washington County, Missouri, United States. It is located about 12 miles southwest of Belgrade. Its post office is closed and mail now comes from Steelville or Belgrade. The community is named after an unidentified settler, as is a nearby stream, Courtois Creek. According to Ramsay, "The name is locally pronounced and sometimes written as Coataway or Cotoway."
