Norborne is a city in Carroll County, Missouri, United States. The population was 708 at the 2010 census. Norborne was founded in 1868 by Norborne B. Coates, a civil engineer for the railroad. The town has numerous small businesses, but is mostly an agricultural community. Norborne is the self-proclaimed Soybean Capital of the World and holds the Soybean Festival every year during the weekend of the second Saturday in August.

Waverly Bridge (Missouri)
The Waverly Bridge is a bridge at Waverly, Missouri, carrying U.S. Route 24 and U.S. Route 65 over the Missouri River between Carroll County and Lafayette County. The original bridge was built in 1922. Its main span was 419.2 feet and total length was 1,942.4 feet. Its deck width was 20 feet and it had a vertical clearance of 18.1 feet. A replacement bridge opened on August 25, 2004. The original bridge was demolished in 2005.
