Brownbranch, Missouri

Brownbranch is an unincorporated community in northeastern Taney County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Route 76 about seventeen miles northeast of Forsyth. Brownbranch was the center of attention in the early 1900s. Included in the town was a school located where the current Caney General Baptist Church stands. Located across the road and on Beaver Creek included an old Mill where local farmers could come to have their corn ground.

McClurg, Missouri

McClurg is an unincorporated community in extreme northeastern Taney County, Missouri, United States. It is located on Missouri Supplemental Route W about three miles (5 km) east of Brownbranch or twenty miles (32 km) northeast of Forsyth. The community was founded in 1872, and is named after Missouri governor Joseph Washington McClurg (1818–1900), who served from 1869 to 1871. McClurg is sparsely populated, consisting mostly of farmland and a few scattered owners.
