Rockbridge, Missouri
Rockbridge is an unincorporated community in northern Ozark County, Missouri. It is the site of an old mill on spring fed Spring Creek a tributary of Bryant Creek, which still houses the post office. It is twelve miles north of Gainesville off Route 95. The town was founded in the 19th century by pioneer families from Marion County, Kentucky, led by Captain Kim Amyx. The community was burned down during the American Civil War and rebuilt after the war.

Assumption Abbey (Missouri)
Assumption Abbey is a community of monks of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance, popularly known as Trappists. The monks first came to Ava, Missouri from New Melleray Abbey in Iowa in 1950 to establish the monastic life here. The Assumption Abbey is popular for its fruitcakes. The fruitcake recipe they use was developed in its bakery, with the help of world class chef Jean-Pierre Augé, who at one time served in the royal employ of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
