Audrain County, Missouri

Audrain County is a county located in central Missouri in the United States. As of the 2010 U.S. Census, the population was 25,529. Its county seat is Mexico. The county was organized December 13, 1836, and named for Colonel James Hunter Audrain of the War of 1812 and whom later was elected to the state legislature.

Santa Fe, Missouri

Santa Fe is an unincorporated community in southeastern Monroe County, Missouri, United States. It is located about twenty-five miles north of Mexico, Missouri near the southern edge of Mark Twain Lake. The Clemens family (of which was Samuel Clemens, aka "Mark Twain") owned several tracts of land in the area. It was settled in 1837 and named for Santa Fe, New Mexico. It was previously incorporated, but was disincorporated in 1950.
