Holter Dam

Holter Dam is a hydroelectric straight gravity dam on the Missouri River about 45 miles northeast of Helena, Montana, in the United States. The dam, which was built between 1908 and 1918, is 1,364 feet long and 124 feet high. The reservoir formed by the dam, Holter Lake (also known as Holter Reservoir) is 25 miles long and has a storage capacity of 243,000 acre feet of water when full.

Hardy Bridge

The Hardy Bridge is a Warren through truss, three-span, two-lane bridge over the Missouri River. It is located at milepost 6 on Old U.S. Route 91 about 14 miles southwest of Cascade, Montana, in the United States. Constructed in 1931, it was one of many similar bridges built during a great expansion of bridges and roadways in the state of Montana. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on January 4, 2010.

Mann Gulch

Mann Gulch is a gulch in the Gates of the Mountains Wilderness of the upper Missouri River, 24 miles north-northeast of Helena, Montana, in southeastern Lewis and Clark County. It is on the east side of the Missouri River and approximately 9 miles east of Interstate 15 (I-15), between Helena and Wolf Creek. Mann Gulch is between Meriwether Canyon immediately to the south and Rescue Gulch immediately to the north, and flows into the Missouri in the canyon known as the Gates of the Mountains.

Mann Gulch fire

The Mann Gulch fire of 1949 was a wildfire in the Helena National Forest, Montana, United States, which claimed the lives of 13 firefighters including 12 smoke jumpers who parachuted into the area to fight the fire, but were unable to control it.
