Lolo, Montana

Lolo is a census-designated place (CDP) in Missoula County, Montana, United States. It is part of the 'Missoula, Montana Metropolitan Statistical Area'. The population was 3,892 at the 2010 census, an increase from its population of 3,388 in 2000. It is home to Travelers' Rest State Park, a site where Lewis and Clark camped in 1805 and again in 1806. It is one of the few sites in the nation with physical confirmation of their visit.

KMMF

KMMF was a full-service television station in Missoula, Montana, broadcasting locally in analog on UHF channel 17 as an affiliate of Fox. Founded April 25, 2000, the station was owned by Equity Broadcasting. The station's signal was repeated in Kalispell, Montana on KMMF-LP channel 34. KMMF added MyNetworkTV as a secondary affiliation in September 2006. KMMF was fed from Equity's hub in Little Rock, Arkansas by March 2008.

Fort Missoula Internment Camp

Fort Missoula Internment Camp was an internment camp operated by the United States Department of Justice during World War II. Japanese Americans and Italian Americans were imprisoned here during this war. Fort Missoula was established near Missoula, Montana as a permanent military post in 1877 in response to citizen concerns of conflict with local Native American tribes.

Fort Missoula

Fort Missoula was established by the United States Army in 1877 on land that is now part of the city of Missoula, Montana, to protect white settlers in Western Montana from possible threats from the native American Indians, such as the Nez Perce. Beginning in 1888, the fort was home to the famous Buffalo Soldiers of the 25th Infantry Regiment (3rd Formation).

Blue Mountain (Montana)

Blue Mountain is the western landmark of the city of Missoula and is a popular recreational destination for folfing (disc golf) hiking, off-road motorcycling, horse riding, shooting and hunting. The mountain is generally covered with pine trees, with sufficient numbers of Blue Spruce to give the mountain a blue appearance in good sunlight. The University of Montana Department of Physics and Astronomy maintains an observatory at the peak.
