Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area

Pawnee Lake State Recreation Area (Pawnee Lake SRA) is the second largest of the Salt Valley Lakes. The lake (technically a reservoir, since it was created by the damming of Middle Creek) {{#invoke:Coordinates|coord}}{{#coordinates:40|50|20|N|96|51|56|W| | |name= }} itself is 740 acres, while the park itself is 1,800 acres . Pawnee Lake is located near Lincoln, Nebraska. In more recent years, swimming has been prohibited at times because of toxic algae.

Nebraska Diagnostic and Evaluation Center

The Nebraska Diagnostic and Evaluation Center (D&E) is a maximum custody, reception, diagnostic, evaluation, assessment, classification and assignment facility for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services (NDCS). Located in Lincoln, Nebraska, D&E was established by the Nebraska State Legislature in 1976 as part of Legislative Bill 984. Construction was completed in June 1979 and the new institution was opened in August 1979 as a 176-bed facility.
