Branched Oak State Recreation Area
Branched Oak State Recreation Area (Branched Oak Lake) is a Nebraska state recreation area located two and a half miles north of Malcolm, Nebraska in Lancaster County. The lake is the largest of the Salt Valley Lakes with 1,800 acres of water in a 5,595-acre park. The area has several camping facilities, ranging from modern to primitive. There is a shop inside the park area where visitors can buy firewood/bait and also purchase boat rentals.
