Adams County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. As of 2010, the population was 31,364. Its name is in honor of the second President of the United States, John Adams. Its county seat is Hastings. Adams County is part of the Hastings Micropolitan Statistical Area. In the Nebraska license plate system, Adams County is represented by the prefix 14 (it had the fourteenth-largest number of vehicles registered in the state when the license plate system was established in 1922).
