Hazen, Nevada
Hazen is an unincorporated community in Churchill County, Nevada, United States, about 12 miles southeast of Fernley and 16 miles northwest of Fallon, on U.S. Route 50. Hazen was founded in 1903 as a station on the Southern Pacific Railroad. Some sources say the town was first settled in 1869, but it doesn't appear on maps until 1903. The community was named for William Babcock Hazen, an aide to William Tecumseh Sherman. At one time Hazen had a post office, which was established in 1904.

The Soda Lakes are two lakes located northwest of Fallon, Nevada. They occupy two basaltic maar volcanoes which may have erupted in the last 1500 years from 2012. The larger lake (called Soda Lake) is somewhat elongated, stretching 2 kilometers in length, while the smaller one (Little Soda Lake) is 200 meters across.

The Fallon LORAN-C transmitter was situated near Fallon, Nevada at . Fallon LORAN-C transmitter used a 625-foot tall mast radiator. The station was closed on February 8, 2010 as a budget cut. The station, and all of the others, were considered to be obsolete with the general availability of GPS systems.
