Twin Mountain, New Hampshire

Twin Mountain is a village within the town of Carroll in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It is named for two prominent summits which rise to the south of the village, North Twin Mountain (4,761 ft/1,451 m) and South Twin Mountain (4,902 ft/1,494 m). The village is located at the junction of U.S. highways 3 and 302, two major routes through the White Mountain notches. The Ammonoosuc River flows through the center of the village.

The Twin Mountains are a pair of mountains located in Franconia, New Hampshire. The Twin Mountains are composed of North Twin Mountain and South Twin Mountain, which are linked by the North Twin Trail. The village of Twin Mountain in the town of Carroll is named after these mountains.

Little River (Ammonoosuc River)

The Little River is a 7.4 mile long river in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Ammonoosuc River and part of the Connecticut River watershed. The Little River rises in the White Mountain National Forest in a small glacial cirque surrounded by Zealand Mountain to the east, Mount Guyot to the south, and South Twin Mountain to the west.

Zealand River

The Zealand River is a 6.3 mile long (10.1 km) river in the White Mountains of New Hampshire in the United States. It is a tributary of the Ammonoosuc River and part of the Connecticut River watershed. The Zealand River flows north out of Zealand Notch in the town of Bethlehem, New Hampshire. It is paralleled first by the Zealand Trail, a hiking trail, and then by Zealand Road, maintained by the White Mountain National Forest.

Owl's Head (Carroll, New Hampshire)

Owl's Head or Owlshead is a 3,258-foot peak of Cherry Mountain, in Carroll, New Hampshire, United States, and (at least since 2001) the White Mountain National Forest (WMNF). The lower reaches of the mountain also extend northward into the town of Jefferson. It is known both as the namesake of the nearby Owl's Head Highway, and as a hiking destination on the Owl's Head Trail.
