Ruggles Mine is an open-pit mine that is no longer in operation and has been turned into a tourist attraction. The mine is located 30 miles northwest of Concord, in Grafton, New Hampshire, a short distance from Route 4 at the village green. Grafton Pond

The pond is part of the Mascoma River watershed, flowing to the Connecticut River. It is an active loon nesting site. The pond is located within the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests' Grafton Pond Reservation.
