Rocky Gorge (New Hampshire)

Rocky Gorge is a waterfall and the name of a scenic and picnic area along the Swift River in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire, United States, next to the Kancamagus Highway. Swimming is not permitted in the falls at Rocky Gorge because of a near fatal accident involving Dorothy Sparks in 1942. At least two other non-fatal accidents, each involving two people, have occurred since 1942.

Mount Passaconaway

Mount Passaconaway is a mountain in the Sandwich Range Wilderness of the White Mountain National Forest near the eastern boundary of Waterville Valley. It is named after Passaconaway, a 16th century sachem of the Pennacook tribe, whose name was also attached to a small village in Albany, where the northern trailhead is now located. It is ranked 42d in elevation on the list of 48 White Mountains four-thousand footers.

Mount Tremont

Mount Tremont, elevation 3,371 feet, is a mountain in Carroll and Grafton counties in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It stands southwest of the town of Bartlett and directly south of Crawford Notch. It is flanked to the east by Bartlett Haystack mountain, to the northwest by the Sawyer River valley, and to the northeast by the Saco River valley. The mountain is crossed by the Brunel and Mount Tremont trails.

The Sleepers (New Hampshire)

The Sleepers are two mountain peaks located in Grafton County, New Hampshire, part of the Sandwich Range of the White Mountains. The Sleepers are flanked to the northwest by Mount Tripyramid, to the northeast by Mount Passaconaway, and to the southeast by Mount Whiteface. They are named in honor of Katherine Sleeper, a local innkeeper who was heavily involved in trail development in the area. The Kate Sleeper Trail, which passes close by both the east and west peaks, is also named after her.

Livermore, New Hampshire

Livermore is an unincorporated civil township in Grafton County, New Hampshire, United States. It was briefly inhabited as a logging town in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The site of the former village is about 16 miles west of North Conway, about 1.5 miles from US Route 302 (the Crawford Notch Highway) via the U.S. Forest Service Sawyer River Road. The logging operation was established by Daniel Saunders Jr. and Charles W. Saunders, members of the Saunders family.
