Califon, New Jersey

Califon is a borough in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the borough's population was 1,076, reflecting an increase of 21 (+2.0%) from the 1,055 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn declined by 18 (-1.7%) from the 1,073 counted in the 1990 Census. The town was to originally be called California, but was shortened to Califon in order to fit on the welcome sign.

Voorhees High School

Voorhees High School is a four-year public high school located in Lebanon Township, New Jersey, named for Foster MacGowan Voorhees, the 30th Governor of New Jersey. It is one of two high schools in the North Hunterdon-Voorhees Regional High School District, serving students from six municipalities in northern Hunterdon County, New Jersey, United States. The school has been accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Secondary Schools since 1977.

Voorhees State Park

Voorhees State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is 1400 acres (5.67 km²) in area and is located in Glen Gardner Borough. The park is operated and maintained by the New Jersey Division of Parks and Forestry. Voorhees State Park began when Foster M. Voorhees, a former governor of New Jersey, donated his 325-acre farm to the people of New Jersey in 1929. Succeeding land acquisitions increased the park size to 640 acres .

South Branch Raritan River

The South Branch Raritan River is a 50-mile-long tributary of the Raritan River in central New Jersey in the United States. The source of the South Branch is the outflow from Budd Lake, a glacial remnant located a few miles northeast of Hackettstown. The river flows out of Morris County, down the middle of Hunterdon County, and along the western edge of Somerset County.
