Independence Township is a township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 5,662, reflecting an increase of 59 (+1.1%) from the 5,603 counted in the 2000 Census, which had in turn increased by 1,663 (+42.2%) from the 3,940 counted in the 1990 Census. The township is part of the eastern region of the Lehigh Valley.

Upper Pohatcong Mountain

Upper Pohatcong Mountain is a ridge in the Appalachian Mountains of northwestern New Jersey in the United States. It is located in eastern Warren County, and extends northeast of Washington approximately 6 mi (10 km) to the vicinity of Hackettstown. The ridge has an average height of approximately 800 ft (240 m) and reaches a maximum summit of 1235 ft (374 m). The ridge is the northeast continuation of Pohatcong Mountain south of Washington.

Liberty Township, New Jersey

Liberty Township is a township in Warren County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the township's population was 2,942. It is part of the eastern region of the Lehigh Valley. Liberty Township was incorporated as a township by an Act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 26, 1926, from portions of Hope Township, based on the results of a referendum held on April 30, 1926.

Shades Of Death Road

Shades Of Death Road, sometimes referred to locally as just "Shades", is a two-lane rural road of about 7 miles (11.2 km) in length in central Warren County, New Jersey. It runs in a generally north-south direction through Liberty and Independence townships, then turns more east-west in Allamuchy Township north of the Interstate 80 crossing. South of I-80 it runs alongside Jenny Jump State Forest and offers access to it at several points.
