Chaves County, New Mexico

Chaves County is a county located in the U.S. state of New Mexico. As of 2010, the population was 65,645. Its county seat is Roswell. Chaves County was named for Colonel Jose Francisco Chaves, a military leader here during the U.S. Civil War and later in Navajo campaigns. Created by Territorial Legislature, Feb. 25, 1889, out of land from the county of Lincoln. The county's area comprises 6,071 sq mi, making it the fourth largest county in the state.

Roswell High School (New Mexico)

Roswell High School (RHS) is a public senior high school in Roswell, New Mexico. It is a part of the Roswell Independent School District. Red Bull Stratos

Red Bull Stratos was a space diving project involving Austrian skydiver Felix Baumgartner. On 14 October 2012, Baumgartner flew approximately 39 kilometres into the stratosphere over New Mexico, United States, in a helium balloon before free falling in a pressure suit and then parachuting to Earth. The total jump, from leaving the capsule to landing on the ground, lasted approximately ten minutes.
