Lake Maloya
Lake Maloya (pictured right) is the largest lake of three in Sugarite Canyon State Park on the New Mexico-Colorado State border, northeast of Raton, New Mexico. It is the main source of water for the city and its outlying areas. Nearby, entirely inside the state of Colorado, is Lake Dorothey (pictured bottom right). The scales of the two pictures are not the same. A larger photograph of the entire lake system can be seen here. The lake covers 120 acres of the 3,600-acre park.

Raton (Amtrak station)
The Raton Amtrak station is located at 201 South First Street in Raton, New Mexico. It occupies the former Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railway depot, which was built in 1903. Like many of the Santa Fe depots, the station was designed in the Mission Revival style. The station is staffed during the summer season when tourism for the Philmont Scout Ranch and the National Rifle Association (NRA) Whittington Center is at its peak.

Colfax County Courthouse (Raton, New Mexico)
The Colfax County Courthouse is a building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The courthouse is located at 230 North 3rd Street in Raton, New Mexico. The courthouse, built in 1936, is a five-story blond, brick building with a hipped tile roof on the top story and flat roofs on the lower portions. The building has glazed tile cornices and bas relief metal panels.
