Chittenango Falls State Park is located in Madison County, New York east of Cazenovia Lake. The 167 foot waterfall cascades over roughly 400 million year old bedrock, flowing beneath a wooden bridge spanning the meandering Chittenango Creek. The park offers a variety of activities like picnic tables with pavilions, a playground, a nature trail, hiking, and fishing. Approximately 57,000 visitors come to the Park each year to engage in a variety of outdoor recreational activities.

The lake is roughly 4 miles (6.5 km) long and 0.5 mile (1 km) wide. It is 65 feet (20 m) at its deepest point. Cazenovia Lake is drained from its south-east corner which flows into Chittenango Creek about 1/2 mile (800 m) to the east.
