WECK

WECK is a radio station located in the Buffalo, New York, area. Founded in 1956 as WNIA, the station currently is owned by Culver Communications. WECK airs a middle-of-the-road (MOR) music format stretching across the modern formats of oldies, adult standards, and adult contemporary music. From early 2006 until March 11, 2008, WECK aired the Jones Radio Network's classic country format. Prior to that, WECK ran an adult standards format for nearly twenty-five years.

University (Metro Rail)

University Station (previously known as South Campus Station until 2003), is the last and most northerly station on the Buffalo Metro Rail line. Located on the south side of Main Street (just east of Niagara Falls Boulevard), this station is a major transfer point between Metro Rail and many city and suburban bus routes. This station offers a unique "Kiss and Ride" facility on the top level, above the ticket mezzazine.

WUFO

WUFO, Western New York's first radio station programming to the African-American community, began in 1961 when famed station owner Gordon McLendon moved his then 1080 am WYSL to 1400 am. McLendon sold the 1080 frequency to Leonard Walk, a Jewish man with a group of Black formatted stations. When Leonard Walk bought the 1080 frequency in 1961, the original desired call letters were "WJOE" for "W-JOE in Buffalo".
