Jamieson Line is a border crossing connecting Athelstan, Quebec to Burke, New York. Canada closed its port of entry on April 1, 2011, and tore down its border inspection station in 2012. The village and town are named after a village near Lyon in France, which became the name of a land grant in Canada. Chateaugay Correctional Facility (ASACTC) is a medium security prison and state Alcohol & Substance Abuse Correctional Treatment Center in Franklin County, New York, USA. The prison is in the town of Chateaugay. Chateaugay C.F. along with other upstate facilities, provide employment in an otherwise depressed economy. The prison opened in 1990. What used to be know as an ASACTC correctional program, has now turned into a facility for repeat parole violators as of mid 2000's.
