Long Lake, New York

Long Lake is a town in Hamilton County, New York in the United States. The population was 711 at the 2010 census. The town is named for 14-mile long Long Lake beside which it sits. The town is entirely within the Adirondack Park and is the most northerly town in the county. It is a summer tourism destination offering fishing, hiking, boating, and many other outdoor activities. In the winter months, snowmobiling is also popular.

Long Lake (New York)

Long Lake is a 14-mile lake in the town of Long Lake in Hamilton County, New York in the United States; the average width is half a mile. It is part of the Raquette River, which flows in a straight, northeast-trending valley. NY 30 crosses at a narrows 4 miles from the south end where the hamlet of Long Lake is located. There are two public beaches and a state boat launch. More than half of the shoreline is part of the New York State Forest preserve. The northern end of the lake is undeveloped.

Adirondack Hotel

Adirondack Hotel is a hotel in Long Lake, New York, located on New York State Route 30. It was built in the 1850s but it burnt down, and was rebuilt in 1900. The hotel has two verandas with a view of 14 miles of Long Lake.

Adirondack Museum

The Adirondack Museum, located on NY-30 in the hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake in Hamilton County, New York, is a museum dedicated to preserving the history of the Adirondacks. The museum is located on the site of an historic summer resort hotel, the Blue Mountain House, built high above Blue Mountain Lake in 1876, that operated until the late 1940s.

Blue Mountain Lake (New York)

Blue Mountain Lake is a 1,280-acre lake in Hamilton County in the central Adirondacks; Blue Mountain Lake is the eastern end of the Eckford chain of lakes. The hamlet of Blue Mountain Lake lies on its southeastern shore and the Adirondack Museum looks down from high above its eastern shore. It has been a popular vacation destination since the mid-19th century.
