Dover Furnace (NYCRR station)

Dover Furnace was a station on the Harlem Line of the New York Central Railroad. It was 72 miles north from Grand Central Terminal in New York City. The station was closed at some point between 1959 and 1968. No station structures remain at the site. The site of the former Dover Furnace Station can be found on the south side of a one lane bridge over the tracks which carries Dutchess County Road 26.

Oniontown, New York

Oniontown is an unincorporated settlement in Dutchess County, New York, located 1.5 miles south of the hamlet of Dover Plains, in the Town of Dover. Harlem Valley – Wingdale (Metro-North station)

The Harlem Valley – Wingdale (formerly State Hospital) Metro-North Railroad station serves the residents of Wingdale, New York via the Harlem Line. It is adjacent to the Harlem Valley State Hospital. Trains leave for New York City every two hours, and about every 30 minutes during rush hour. It is 69 miles (111 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately one hour, 55 minutes. This station is the first/last station in the Zone 9 Metro-North fare zone.

Bull's Bridge

Bull's Bridge is a single-lane vehicular wooden covered bridge across the Housatonic River in the town of Kent, Connecticut. The bridge uses lattice truss design by Ithiel Town and was built in 1842 out of timber. Queen post trusses were added later in the 19th century as secondary support. The bridge was further reinforced in 1969 by the addition of steel beams beneath the deck. The bridge was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Trains leave for New York City every two hours, and about every 30 minutes during rush hour. It is 76.5 miles (123 km) from Grand Central Terminal and travel time to Grand Central is approximately two hours, two minutes. The 7.5-mile (12 km) distance from Dover Plains to Harlem Valley – Wingdale, the next station to the south, is the longest between two stations on the Harlem Line.
